When my girlfriend - a fellow wedding photographer and former writer at the premiere wedding blog Style Me Pretty - called me up asking if I could come along and photograph portions of her big day, I just couldn't say no. Not only is her smile contagious and her charm impossible to ignore, but I just knew her style was going to be absolutely impeccable.

And, of course, it was - no detail went unnoticed! There were countless traditions in keeping with the Greek heritage of this fun-loving couple, my favourite of which was the "Koufeta" - a collection of little sugar coated almonds symbolizing how the newlyweds will remain undivided. Oh, and the bride's floral hairpiece - beyond romantic! From the dusty shale of the bridesmaids dresses to the soft neutral palette throughout, everything came together in the most beautiful blend of understated elegance.

I'm so glad I could be there for two of my favourite parts of the day... the bubbling excitement of ladies getting ready and the non-stop dance fest celebrating the newlyweds.
