Ever since my segue into fulltime wedding photography and cinematography, it's no secret that I don't often do family portrait sessions anymore. That is, unless you're a super fun family and you ask really really nicely :)
Fortunately this Upper West Side clan fit both criteria, with the added bonus of extended family flying in from the West Coast for portraits to celebrate their patriarch turning 80 years young!
With two full hours of laughing and playing and laughing some more amidst cherry blossoms and tulips in New York City's hidden gem, Riverside Park, I found myself constantly thinking how happy I was to have made an exception to my rule (and even rearranging a flight to shoot that weekend's wedding in order to do so!).
So much love. So much joy. Such an incredible birthday gift. And what an absolute honor to be a part of it all!
