Originally introduced by a friend in Beijing, three months after meeting Allison he just knew. And so, after an initial visit to meet her family in New York, Leon sold everything and moved nearly 7,000 miles to begin their life together. The next year would be a whirlwind of New York wedding plans, trips to Africa, and two additional reception celebrations for their families in China hosting a cumulative 1,000 guests to celebrate their union.
But that doesn't mean there aren't a few nods to their heritage here in New York.
