Once again, I am thrilled to say that Style Me Pretty (a premiere wedding style blog) will be featuring one of the styled bridal shoots that I created in collaboration with a group of extraordinary talents.
Feel free to skip straight to their feature - or stick here a minute longer and read on to find out more about how everything came together...
It started with an idea. And idea of photographing a bride with a wild animal... which turned into an idea of photographing a bride who was a wild animal... which turned into a bride who was perhaps just very inspired by a particular wild animal. And thus, a deer bride was born. In the weeks of planning, I received many laughs and even more raised eyebrows buried beneath enormous question marks painted on the foreheads of my friends. But I was determined, so luckily I found a few creatives who found the idea just as inspiring as I did - or at least agreed to humour me.
With a custom-made antler cake designed by the very sweet Lindsey at Elegantly Iced, an ethereal floral headpiece by the imaginative Grace at Graceful Gardens, and the friendly folks over at The Foundry in Long Island City who so graciously opened up their incredible space for us to *play*, I couldn't have asked for a better group of collaborators.
As for our core team, we had my friend Elana Kaufman on styling (we've worked together on projects before, but never as a stylist/photographer duo - so this was quite the treat!), long time go-to makeup artist Brandalyn Fulton (who works with me on almost everything), new friend and extremely gifted hair artist Kristina Bauzo, and Sarah Natochenny as our talent - the very other-worldly "bride" whose resume boasts an intriguing and eclectic mix of acting and modeling roles.
What you will find below is just a handful of my favourites... but to see the full collection of images, along with where you can find many of the beautiful items included in this shoot, visit the "Antler Inspired Photo Shoot" Style Me Pretty feature. And while you're there, won't you show me some ♥love♥? "Likes", comments, tweets, and shares are heartily appreciated.
