For all the film photographers out there (film? what's film?) here is a simple reminder of the rules for developing a roll of film:
1. Do NOT wait a year and a half to develop a roll of film.
But if you must wait a year and a half to develop a role of film then:
1. Do NOT store said film in your purse for the full duration of that year and a half. Instead keep the film safely protected in the cool dark asylum of a refrigerator.
But if you must wait a year and a half to develop a role of film. And if you must carry said film around with you in your purse for the full duration of that time. Then DO thoroughly communicate your negligence to your lab professional so that they can:
1. Scold you with looks of horror in response to your negligence.
2. Lose all respect for you as a photographer.
3. Make appropriate adjustments in the developing process by pushing the film in their attempt to retrieve as much image information as possible.
If you do not follow the aforementioned rules, then your images will probably turn out like this:
