Fort Greene Brooklyn Engagement Photographer | Meghan + Pete

Almost five years ago Meghan was invited out by a friend to meet the guy she was seeing. Not wanting to be a 3rd wheel she asked if he could bring along a fourth. Little did she know, that person would be Pete and the outing would quickly turn into a blind double date. A couple months later Pete temporarily relocated to Paris and about a month into his time there Meghan was soon to follow, coordinating 2 tickets NYC→PAR: 1 for her to hang out with him while he was there and one to travel around Europe while she visited. All went well and upon returning from Paris they immediately got a place together, first in Downtown Brooklyn and later in Fort Greene. Fast forward to an orchard proposal in late October 2015 - Meghan thought at first that Pete was joking when he didn't pull the ring out right away. Fortunately it was very much real, making this one of several successful set ups that her friend had coordinated.

Spending our time together in their Fort Greene neighborhood, we began in the Brooklyn back garden they've worked so hard to transform, a bottle of Pinot Noir in hand and their 6 year old mini schnauzer, Ollie, close at their feet. Next up, a stop at nearby Parisian Bistro, Cafe Paulette, for some Rosé and cozying up amidst its charming red leather banquettes. From there, a quick stroll along the brownstone-lined streets carried us to Fort Greene Park with sweeping views of both Manhattan, where they first met, and Brooklyn, the place that together they now call home.
